The story follows Mariana, a successful and well-known horror novelist. Her life takes a dark turn when she's kidnapped by a mysterious figure known as "The Devil" someone who has previously killed several horror writers, none of whose bodies were ever found. Mariana wakes up trapped in this devil's world, forced to keep writing horror stories for him or die in the most gruesome way imaginable.

For Mariana, writing becomes her only means of survival she writes to stay alive, literally, not just metaphorically. The novel also explores humanity's fear of the unknown and raises deep questions about the true nature of horror, blending different frightening tales involving jinn and zombies.
