This is a historical novel set in Andalusian literature, in which author Ahmed Adel weaves together deep themes such as loyalty, sacrifice, injustice, courage, justice, betrayal, love, and hatred. The novel takes readers on a journey through time to meet one of the greatest figures who ruled Córdoba  Emir Abd al-Rahman al-Dakhil (Abd al-Rahman ibn Muawiyah)  transporting them to Córdoba, the jewel of Andalusia, and to Zaragoza. It shows notable precision in presenting historical events, staying faithful to available facts, and stands out for its detailed depiction of battles that makes readers feel immersed in the fighting.
